Elmer Hammond Child Development Center (EHCDC) offers childcare services for children aged 2 -12 years old. We also offer before and after school care for K-6th grade students. We have a proven system of assisting students with learning to ensure instruction time and/or skills can grow and flourish .
Programs
Fun & Creativity
Art
Students are artists and express their ideas and feelings through their art. By drawing, painting, designing and sculpting as well as working in clay, and paper students develop visual, spatial and manipulative skills.
Music
EHCDC students use music to grow their love of learning as children develop cognitive, social-emotional, sensory motor, and school readiness skills.
Movement
Your child's imagination will grow and show them the beauty of life with a greater meaning. Also, we help access their five senses as they learn about their body and the space around them.
Language & Literacy
It's critical part of a child's overall development. Their ability to communicate, express, and understand feelings. It also improves the child's thinking ability and helps them develop and maintain relationships.
Mathematics
We work to develop a basic knowledge of numbers, counting, and the concept of “how many.” Pre-school math focuses on recognizing, grouping, and comparing objects of different sizes, colors and shapes, and identifying patterns.
Outside Play
Physical movement increasing their level of physical activity. It also improves their memory, attention, and concentration while helping them stay on-task in the classroom.
